Exactly what I was looking for. Easy to operate, provided good range of motion for archery. Didn’t have to test how well it performed during a fall, but it seemed to hold up to the wear and tear of climbing multiple trees during archery season.

I bought this product because of the flat tree strap that comes with the harness is not very user-friendly in my opinion this rope style tree strap is very simple to use and seems like good quality

Purchased through Amazon, and it’s much nicer than a belt style tree strap. No clanging metal to alert deer in the area, and snugs nicely up to a tree, excellent product.

If the material used to make these ropes can be seen in the UV light spectrum, then it is counter productive to deer hunting. can you ste how and with what materials the ropes are bow made reflective?

I own 3 of the old non-reflective ropes and love them, was disappointed that you made them reflective as I want to purchase 3 more.

Shipping took 2 weeks. Finally got the item and it does not have the prussik knot!! Customer service wants me to tie the knot myself, rather than send me another that was manufactured and sent properly. Really? Not impressed at all. Season is going to be over before I can get back in the stand. Thanks HSS.

Great product

Great product, but it has to be used to work. Always hookup before you climb up.

I currently clock in around 350 lbs, and I wasn't going to trust this lifeline until I had tested it out.
I haven't jumped out of my stand like a paratrooper, but I did "try to fall" while connected and on the ground, then the same about 5 feet up.
The knot didn't budge.

The only negative, but it's a big negative: They say replace after 2 years, but the one sent to me in August of 2021 was made in October of 2020. I get a year and 2 months of usage? That's obnoxious of the company.

When I was tightening it down, it feels like I should be able to cinch tighter and have a super snug fit. It's REALLY tough to get the last tiny bit tightened down.

I don't think that teeny bit of snugness will make a difference though. It was a mental thing when I was 15 feet in the air.

Like the title states. It is a great harness for us big boys. Been useing mine for a couple of years now and soon will be ordering a new one.

Over all I like this harness but for us bigger guys that hunt the southern states like LA, Tx,Miss,Ark,Al we need this harness to go on a diet and lose some of the weight it brings in fabrics. And that will also help make it cooler for the warmer parts of the season.

I understand it's hard too justify the harness as it is because most hunters aren't my size but I also need gear setup better for the conditions I hunt.

So I cut off all the material that was used to make the best and pockets. It's just straps and buckles now but atleast its cooler for our typical bow season temps.

Come on hss us big boys need more specific gear not just one option.

Super helpful and great for safety

I've been hunting over 30 years. NEVER had a harness or even thought I'd need one. But, at 50 years old and over 300 lbs. (I've lost nearly 100 pounds as of today), & with a family- I figured it would be time to get one. Well, I got mine last season. I actually spoke with the owner of HSS and we worked something out for a harness. It just so happens that I got what might just be the very first of these 4x/5x harnesses to be available. I had mine before they were even at the hunting shows.
It's the safest I've ever felt in a tree. EVER.

If you're a BIG guy, there is PLENTY of adjustment room in this and it's light weight and comfortable to wear all day.

I honestly just thought about it this morning as I’m sitting in this tree that it may be time to replace this one, sure enough the tag is dated for 2014(today is 10/27/24). I’m gunna go ahead and order another. This thing has been great. Comfortable, easy to put on and has ample storage to store your phone and whatever other items you like to have handy without having to reach to your bag or pack.

Thanks for offering something for us bigger folks to ensure we get home to our families. Just because we may be a little hefty does not mean we are lazy and won’t put in the effort to be a successful hunter.

I’m super glad to have found this HSS harness for big hunters like me. I’m 6.5 ft with solid build. It’s very adjustable from the thighs as well as the shoulders. So there is enough adjustment to make no matter how light or heavy your clothing are. Our deer season is about to open in a week time (October 1st) so I’m yet to put it to the test.

People indicated it’s not light but neither heavy I would. Nonetheless, with the absence of options that fit the dimensions of big hunters and have a 400lb capacity; that would’ve been the only reliable and customizable option out there.

This lifeline is seriously a must. I chose the reflective braid for the simple reason that if you hit with any light-it’s like a beacon to help locate your stand. The rubber cover over the carabiner is perfect for silencing any noises and ensures that if it were to hit the stand, wouldn’t make noise. The knot that is used as well as quality of the rope is one of the highest grades possible. Treat your life to nothing less.
