Not impressed. Its a great concept but hard to use. I feel that to slide the slapstrap up you need both hands which puts you in a two points of contact position. The slip knots do not work at all and became frozen in place at critical moments on acent and decent. If you use the system to set loc-on style treestands you will find yourself in a position to have to untie completely to move below the stand after setting up the platform. In their defensive maybe this system is for saddle hunting only but I know fee bowhunters that use only one type of stand. I need the 2 rope system and have gone back to that ditching the slapstrap. I also adds a lot of weight to my hunting kit so again back to the two rope system.
Great concept for a rookie 62 yr old hunter however I’ve had more issues than I thought would happen. First, the prusic knot is useless after the first use. After 6 uses I removed it and bought an ascender for both lineman’s and tether. Second, it takes two hands to move the strap up the tree. Or you have to walk it up the tree. It is taking forever. Third, using the tether around limbs is extremely awkward. You have to move it high for the lineman’s and low for the tether going over the branch making it hard for both. I’ve tried different techniques and I’m now carrying a 3rd lineman’s to use for tether. This means more weight to carry making the included tether useless. Fourth, the ropes don’t move within the strap without manhandling the rope and it just wears me out. Did the, it’s horribly expensive when I have bought carabiners, a third rope, 2 ascenders and I leave the included tether in the strap. That’s $300 that I could have used two ropes, 2 ascenders and half the carabiners than using the slapstrap. I’ve watched YouTube videos to get hints however every video is shown at ground level and no one goes up the tree. I challenge HSS to post a video showing a hunter NOT a salesperson going 20ft up a tree with limbs to set a stand or saddle. If so I’ll post my 7 videos showing my use trying to get up a tree, they are quite funny unless your the one one the tree. I’ll keep working the problem but 2 weeks out of hunting season I’ll ditch it and go to two ropes and bag system.
Works perfectly
The concept of this product is great. However, I’m not a lineman’s belt guy due to the fact they are not fall prevention. They only allow two free hands. If a tree step fails you will fall or slide to the next step or branch, if you went around one.
So use two tethers! True safety!!!!
Furthermore, it takes two hands to operate, so you have to wrap a leg around the tree once your off the ground to hold yourself to the tree so you can slide it up. Too slow. I just can’t recommend it.
I have five years hunting exclusively from a saddle.
I was able to use it for the first time and it worked great for me.

They are great and climbing will be safer with these lifelines.
I like the harness.
Just wish that the linemen belt attachment loops were stiffer.
Comfortable and easy to use I love the mossy oak camouflage I bought the pro model with all the pockets and I love the pockets I have one of the originals and there's a lot of improvements over there Originals it's a great hunting vest
Great products I’ve been wearing the same harness and using the same ropes that I won in a contest 15 years ago at least and I’ve never fallen and never had know whether that would hold me or not but I sure feel safe when I’m tied into that tree with that heavy rope and that heavy harness everyone needs to wear one the ground is hard on your body and you may not come back from it HSS is all ever worn so I’ll say they’re the best. Thank you.
Quality product. Great buy.
