Venison Jalapeño Poppers

Posted by Jay Everett on

If you’re looking for something different, and incredibly tasty for your next wild game dish, you seriously need to consider Venison Jalapeño Poppers. They work well as a snack, appetizer, or tailgate party super-food.

How good are they?

As some of our southern friends might say, “They’re so good, they’ll make you smack your granny!”

They are just that good!

Here’s a Look at What You Need to Get Started

6 - Fresh jalapeño peppers (halved lengthwise and completely de-seeded)

1 – 8oz.  Package of cream cheese

12 - Strips of back strap or tenderized steak (seasoned or marinated as you like)

12 - Slices of bacon

Brown Sugar (Optional, but holy cow does it make it dance!)

Instructions

Pre-heat an outdoor grill to high heat. Spread the cream cheese into the jalapeño halves. Wrap bacon around the stuffed jalapeño and secure with a toothpick. Roll in Brown Sugar.

Place onto the grill or smoker or in oven (400 degrees) and cook until the bacon is crispy.

(Makes 6 Servings)

Check out the video below for a closer look at how it’s done.
